
WESTFORD — Nashoba Valley Technical High School will send one student to the SkillsUSA National Conference after the junior earned a gold medal at the SkillsUSA State Leadership & Skills Conference.
Peter Zaferacopoulos of Littleton will attend the SkillsUSA National Skills & Leadership Conference in June in Atlanta, Ga., after Peter achieved gold in Cosmetology Over 500 Hours.
Students who earn gold medals in their respective categories qualify for the Nationals.
Several other Nashoba Tech students earned medals at the State Competition but did not qualify for Nationals:
• Senior Emily Callahan of Dunstable earned a silver medal in Advertising Design.
• Sophomore Tyler Coleman of Chelmsford earned a silver medal in Residential & Commercial Appliance Technology.
• Sophomore Richard Collins of Chelmsford earned a bronze medal in First Aid/CPR.
• Sophomore Austin Geoffroy of Pepperell earned a bronze medal in Residential & Commercial Appliance Technology.
• Senior Kaitlyn Landers of Westford earned a silver medal in Cosmetology Over 500 Hours.
• Junior Jake Tonaszuck of Chelmsford earned a silver medal in Telecommunications Cabling.
• The team of Makenna Farrell (sophomore, Chelmsford) and Madison Piper (sophomore, Pepperell) earned a bronze medal in Cosmetology Under 500 Hours.
• The team of Susanna Floyd (sophomore, Westford) and Alison McIntire (sophomore, Pepperell) earned a silver medal in Precision Laser Imaging,
• The team of Eric Caulfield (junior, Acton), Nathaniel Dunn (junior, Groton) and Alex Petraglia (junior, Chelmsford) earned a bronze medal in Career Pathways Showcase: Arts & Communication.
