
TOWNSEND — Students at North Middlesex Regional High School are gearing up for a performance of the world-famous musical “Mama Mia!” later this month, school officials announced recently.
Performances are set to happen at 7 p.m. on Friday, April 28 and at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 29. Proceeds from the show will benefit the NMRHS theater program. All shows will take place at NMRHS located at 19 Main St. in Townsend.
The famous musical by Judy Craymer follows the travels of Sophie, who wants her father to give her away at her upcoming wedding. Sophie has a problem though — she doesn’t know who her father is. In an effort to solve the mystery, Sophie invites her mother’s past three lovers to her wedding.
The uplifting musical features dance numbers and music by Benny Andersson, Björn Ulvaeus and Stig Anderson. “Mama Mia!” is rated PG and is recommended for all ages.

NMRHS is the regional high school for students in Ashby, Pepperell and Townsend.
