GROTON — Police are investigating a crash involving an Amazon delivery van that allegedly collided with a car and a pedestrian on Boston Road Wednesday night.

The unidentified man, who suffered serious injuries, is in his 50s and “is not believed to be a Groton resident,” according to a Groton Police Department press release.

Police said they were called, along with Groton Fire and EMS, to the area of 321 Boston Road for a report of the pedestrian crash shortly after 8 p.m. The pedestrian was treated and transported to Lahey Hospital & Medical Center by Groton EMS and Ayer Advanced Life Support.

The operator of the delivery van remained on scene and cooperated with investigators, according to police.
