PEPPERELL — Members and guests of Pepperell Garden Club began its new year with a Presentation by Select Board member Mark Mathews and Town Planner Jenny Gingras who spoke about Railroad Square Sidewalk Network improvements that will start in spring 2023.

After refreshments, club members were able to select beautiful healthy plants at the club’s annual plant swap.

That meeting will feature a presentation from watershed scientist Lauri Johnson and Jessica Veysey Powell on “Climate Change and our Waterways.” The presentation will focus on the current state of our waterways, how the current drought is affecting them and what we can do to help protect them.

Membership is open to all from all towns who wish to learn about gardening. Guests are invited to come and pay a small fee or join for a year full of programs and fun activities. Students are welcome to join with an adult. Community service hours are also available to students too.
