PEPPERELL — Pepperell Aid from Community to Home is grateful for the leaders of Girl Scout Troop 65093 for a successful food drive.
The food drive was part of the troop’s Take Action Project during which they learned how to help people in need. The troop chose PACH, which is a volunteer organization serving the towns of Pepperell and Dunstable.
On April 30, the troop held a drive-thru food drive at the Fitzpatrick Collaborative. During the drive, the troop collect 694 pounds of donations, exceeding its goal of 2,000 items. The food drive also brought in $80.
Also pitching in to help PACH recently was the U.S. Post Office, which collected 668 pounds of food during its recent Stamp Out Hunger food drive. Seven trucks brought donations to PACH, reuniting a collaboration temporarily halted during the COVID-19 pandemic.
In addition to food, PACH provides Pepperell and Dunstable residents with personal care items and referrals to resources for addition assistance.
