LOWELL — The doctor is in! How could we not post the dignified and charismatic Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz on Father’s Day? Currently in residence at Lowell Humane Society, volunteers report he has a ton of personality, particularly when his food bowl is empty.

When that occurs, the good doctor will alert the serving staff with a distinctive yowl, and then present the empty bowl with an entreating look. This fine fellow is FIV positive, which means he has a weaker immune system than other cats and will need an annual vet visit (which all cats need anyway).

But at 5 years old, he is in vigorous health, and eager to find his fur-ever family. Visit lowellhumanesociety.org or call 978-452-7781, and if you can’t adopt, share his story.
