TOWNSEND — Friends of the Townsend Library has been selected as the beneficiary of Hannaford’s Bloomin’ 4 Good for the month of December.
Each month, every Hannaford’s location chooses a different local nonprofit in their community to support. From every purchase of a $12 bouquet featuring the red circle sticker, Friends of the Townsend Library will receive a $1 donation from the program per bouquet. To support Townsend’s nonprofit, purchases must be made at the Hannaford Supermarket store at 18 Main St. in Townsend. The store will support a different nonprofit in January.
“Flowers can make someone’s day, brighten up a room or spread a smile,” said Kathleen Hunt, president of Friends of the Townsend Library. “Now they can give back, too! We are thrilled to be chosen to benefit from this unique and impactful Hannaford Bloomin’ 4 Good Program, as the demands of those in need are higher than ever this year.”
Friends of the Townsend Library was founded in 1967. The organization works to promote fun and informative community activities to support the Townsend Library.
