Kitty Angels plans a paws-itively fun weekend fundraiser May 1-2

After a year of pandemic chaos, the springtime “The Power of Angels” Kitty Angels fundraiser is once again going forward on Saturday, May 1, and Sunday, May 2, from 9 5 p.m., at Treasures Antiques, Collectibles & More, 106 Ponemah Road (Route 122), in Amherst, N.H.

All the kitties and vendors have taken the necessary precautions and are excited for folks visit with them for some fabulous finds, free entertainment and to help Kitty Angels.

The weekend will showcase artists and artisans, crafters, professionals, food vendors, a flea market and yard sales in a county-fair atmosphere.

There will be a live demonstration of oil painting and techniques by artist Eric Nickola of WolfpacStudios. His artwork will be on display and for sale; he also offers commission work.

Grab breakfast or lunch prepared by Mal’s Grill.

Musical entertainment will be provided by Joey Peavey, Side Effects, The 5 to 9 Band, Jeff Robert, North Sound Duo, Levi Maxwell, Jeff Damon and Richard Parker as Elvis.”

Representatives of Amherst Animal Hospital will be on hand, and the folks from Mapledell Farm of Townsend will bring a traveling petting zoo and will offer horse and pony rides.

Featured throughout the weekend, and into June, is a raffle of diverse prizes donated by local and national businesses, professional sports teams, private individuals and on-site vendors.

And, of course, pets are always welcome.

Kitty Angels is the sole beneficiary of this event. It is a nonprofit, no-kill cat shelter run by unpaid volunteers dedicated to rescuing stray and abandoned cats and kittens, furnishing them with treatment for injuries or other health issues, and placing them into forever homes with compatible owners.
