LITTLETON — State Rep. James Arciero of Westford recently met with the Littleton Arrow of Light Cub Scout Troops 2 and 21 at Reuben Hoar Library in Littleton, and discussed the Scouts completing their “Building a Better World” requirement. The requirement includes meeting with a local or state government leader and learning about their role in the community.

The Scouts then have to discuss an important issue facing their community. The group was interested in the process to ban the use of plastic bags in town.

They decided to start a petition to bring the issue to the Littleton Board of Selectmen for consideration for a vote at Town Meeting.
