TOWNSEND — Parishioners of St. John the Evangelist Parish in Townsend are hosting their 24th annual Fall Bazaar on Sept. 7.
There will be live music and singing by local talent offered by Silver Wolf entertainment. More than 28 crafters will set up tents to offer items from jewelry to alpaca wool, clothing, artwork, and more. The event features a Petting Farm and Farmers Market. Also, there will be games for all ages, featuring a giant climbing wall, sack races, face painting and more — kids play free!.
There will be lots of fabulous food and legendary baked goods. The menu includes breakfast sandwiches, walking tacos, Dom’s sausage and pepper, Kayem dogs, burgers, homemade chili and baked beans, bbq brisket & pulled pork. Cooking is done by volunteers of the parish, with Sponsorship by the Knights of Columbus and Daughters of Isabella.
Grandma’s Attic offers treasures donated by the community – small furniture, tools, household items, holiday decorations, kids toys, games, puzzles, used books, pictures painting, lamps, etc. – this is always a big hit. There will be many games of chance to include the Wheel of Fortune and Country Store, featuring items donated by local businesses.
They are also featuring a MEGA Raffle: Win $10,000 (only 200 tickets will be sold) and a main raffle with prizes of $1,000 and $500. Info: townsendcatholic.org.
