Josef Nocera: Nashoba Park Assisted Living Community, 15 Winthrop Ave., Ayer. Singer Josef Nocera brings us swing, jazz, rock ‘n roll, and R&B favorites from the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s, starting at 2 p.m.

Aug. 16

Bill Foley: Nashoba Park Assisted Living Community, 15 Winthrop Ave., Ayer. Musician Bill Foley will entertain us on the guitar and harmonica, starting at 2 p.m.

Aug. 23

Church Bell Ringing: The Groton School will host bell ringers from throughout the United States and Canada for a demonstration of change ringing from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. The ringers will be in the greater Boston area from Wednesday, Aug. 21 to Sunday, Aug. 25 for the North American Guild of Change Ringers’ Annual Meeting. The ancient English art of change ringing requires mental agility, concentration, and teamwork. The ringers guide the massive bells through rapidly changing progressions of sonic permutations. Heather Marie: Nashoba Park Assisted Living Community, 15 Winthrop Ave., Ayer. Vocalist Heather Marie brings us her pop, jazz, country, folk and Broadway standards. Performance starts at 2 p.m.

Sept. 6

Plant Sale: The Point in Littleton will host a classic car show from 4-7 p.m. All proceeds will benefit the Scott Holt Fund, which assists a 13-year Littleton firefighter who suffered a catastrophic fall from the truck as he was gathering his gear, resulting in a life-changing spinal cord injury.

Sept. 7

Fall bazaar: St. John’s Fall Bazaar on the Townsend Common. Family fun, food and festivities. Live music and entertainment. Kids games free. No admission charge welcome. Local artists, craters, farmers market, grandma’s attic treasures, raffles, games, food, themed gift baskets, legendary baked goods, etc.

Sept. 20

Plant Sale: The Middlesex Conservation District will hold its annual Fall Bulb and Perennial Sale from 3-6 p.m., and Sept. 21 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Great Brook Farm State Park Ski Touring Center, 1018 Lowell St, Carlisle. All items can be ordered through Aug. 31 and picked up on sale days.
