Thanks to Pepperell merchants

For a small town, Pepperell has a strong community feeling. For many seniors their “home away from home” is at the Pepperell Senior Center. Like all homes, family members help. This is no different at the PSC. This year the PSC recognized those seniors who unselfishly helped above and beyond the call of duty with an evening of dinner, music, and gifts of appreciation.

To make the evening a success was no small feat. I would like to gratefully thank many students and members of the community who donated their time to make the evening a special time. And most of all a special thanks to the 12 local businesses who generously donated 39 gift certificates to be tokens of appreciation.

BlackBird Café: Nick and Kate; Donelan’s of Pepperell; Mariano’s Restaurant: Al and Pam Mariano; McGaffigan Funeral Home; Pepperell Family Pharmacy: Tracy Ezzio; RiteAid of Hudson, N.H.: Lynn Colardeau; Riverdale Garden Center: Gary Wilkins; Rose of Sharon in Dunstable: Melisssa Otout; The Lazy Bubble Restaurant, opening soon in Pepperell; True Value Hardware: the Kimball Family; Wilkins Country Florist: Melissa Wilkins and ae Larson.

We know that these businesses are often asked to donate for different causes which does cut into their profits. I hope that your readers who read this letter will consider patronizing the businesses in the future and thank them for being generous to our local seniors. They have supported the senior center in many ways over the years. Let us give them a round of applause!
