AYER — St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church will hold its Blessing of the Animals on Sunday, June 16. The Rev. Joyce Scherer-Hoock will welcome and bless each each animal at the 9:30 service. People are asked to bring pets on leashes or in carriers.

Pictures of pets and toy stuffed animals are always welcome. An ice cream social will follow the service to celebrate the end of the church school year.

The Blessing of the Animals is a lovely tradition that gives witness to God’s love, care and concern for creation. We recognize our mutual interdependence with God’s creatures and our witness of our stewardship of creation is strengthened

St. Andrew’s is located at 7 Faulkner St., It is a family-friendly community where children are always welcome. The Sunday Celebration of Holy Communion is at 9:30 a.m. and is followed by coffee hour in the parish hall. Free child care is available at 9:15 a.m. For information, visit www.standrewsayer.org.
