WESTFORD — Students in the Health Assisting program at Nashoba Valley Technical High School in Westford recently held the 5th-annual “Senior Prom” for residents of Bridges by EPOCH, an assisted-living facility for those who have Alzheimer’s disease, dementia or other forms of memory loss.

The prom is a way for the students, who assist the staff at Bridges regularly, to get to know the residents better — and a way for those residents to hearken back to their younger days. Staff members at Bridges say the “Senior Prom” is one of the residents’ favorite days.

The event is held at lunch time in the school’s Viking Forum. A local DJ spins tunes to complete the scene.

The assisted living facility is located in Westford, not far from the school.
