BOLTON — The Groton-Dunstable Regional girls’ track and field team compiled 192 points en route to winning the Mid-Wach B league championship meet at Nashoba Regional on May 15.
Sarah Maple and Maggie Wickham led the way for the Crusaders, posting two first-place finishes each. Maple was first in the 2-mile and 800 meters, while Wickham won the 200 and ran a leg on the winning 4×100 relay team.
Moriah Scharn was second in the high jump, second in the 100 hurdles and third in the 400 hurdles.
Siena Salyer posted second-place finishes in the 100 and 400, while Julianna Higgins was second in the 2-mile and third in the mile.
Sydney Adams came in second in the mile and third in the 800.
Ainsleigh Patten was second in the 200.
Sarah Bushnell (high jump), Kaylyn Sampson (shot put), Liz Zawada (javelin) and Kimmie Harding (2-mile) came through with third-place finishes.
In the 4×100 relay, Madison Dondero, Kaylyn Sampson, Patten and Wickham teamed up for a first-place finish.
Bushnell, Brenna Cox, Chloe Ashburn and Danielle Thompson teamed up to win the 4×400 relay.
Mia Garibotto, Maddie Precht, Mary Teeple and Hannah Ketelhohn teamed up for a first-place finish in the 4×800 relay.
The Groton-Dunstable boys, meanwhile, finished third in the team standings.
Eli Kritzer was first in the 2-mile at 10:10.95, while Thomas Orcutt won the 800 in a time of 2:00.77.
Posting second-place finishes were Jacob Scharn (400, 51.73), David Hendershot (discus, 107-2) and Patrick Daly (mile, 4:42.41).
The 4×400 relay team of Orcutt, Grant Willsie, Elias Jiser and Zachariah Elmasri was second in a time of 3:40.92.
