WESTFORD — Nashoba Valley Technical High School is sending a group of students to the DECA International Career & Development Conference in Orlando, Fla., after a superb showing at the recent state conference.

Grace Sarrategui (sophomore, Chelmsford) will compete at the conference in the Principles of Marketing after placing first at the state competition.

The team of Amy Esielionis (sophomore, Ayer), Sean Kenney (junior, Chelmsford) and Jordan LeBel (senior, Ayer) will compete in the School-Based Enterprise (Retail) category, and the team of Abigail Cronin (junior, Groton), Mikayla Jones (junior, Townsend) and Amanda Misch (junior, Pepperell) will compete in School-Based Enterprise (Food).

Five other students — Preston Andrews (senior, Townsend), Cory Prehl (sophomore, Ayer), Taylor McLellan (senior, Pepperell), Katrina Trocha (senior, Chelmsford) and Liliann Woodward (junior, Shirley) — earned leadership spots at the international event.

The DECA International Career & Development Conference will be held April 27-30 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla.
