ROXBURY — Groton-Dunstable Regional High had two relay teams place second at the MIAA Division 4 Track & Field Championships at the Reggie Lewis Center last Sunday, highlighting results for local Central Mass. squads.
Groton-Dunstable boys
The Crusaders’ 4×400 relay team of Jacob Scharin, Zachariah Elmasri, Alex Sellers and Trent Tessier finished second with a combined time of 3:35.39.
Thomas Orcutt earned a seventh-place finish in the 1,000 in 2:38.74 and Elmasari was also eighth in the 300 in 37.25 seconds.
Groton-Dunstable girls
The 4×200 relay team of Danielle Thompson, Siena Salyer, Ainsleigh Patten and Maggie Wickham finished second with a time of 1:48.66, which re-broke their own school record.
The same four girls came back to finish fifth in the 4×400 in 4:16.87. Also, Julianna Higgins finished eighth in the two-mile in 11:57.41.
North Middlesex boys
Junior Nicholas Woolsey was fourth in the 55-meter hurdles (7.74) and seventh in the long jump at 19-9.5.
North Middlesex girls
Freshman Madison LeCreta was sixth in the 55-meter hurdles in 9.52 seconds and junior Catherine Nkwantah was seventh in the shot put by throwing 34-2.25.
