ShirleyArts! takes stage in March with comedy ‘Nunsense’

The Little Sisters of Hoboken putting on a show. On Friday, March 1, at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, March 2, at 7:30 pm, and Sunday, March 3, at 2 p.m., ShirleyArts! will present the Dan Goggin musical comedy “Nunsense” at St. Anthony’s Church Hall, 33 Chapel Street in Shirley.

The part of the bossy Mother Superior Sister Regina is played by Katharine Taylor of Leominster. Desiree Feigley of Shirley is in the role of the Sister of the Novices who is aiming to move up. Sister Robert Anne is the street-wise nun who drives and repairs the convent car and is played by Terrie Hyde of Lunenburg.

Samantha Sickorez of Ayer plays the part of Sister Mary Amnesia, who can not remember her name and gets easily confused. Sister Leo, the novice who dreams of being the first nun ballerina, is played by Christine Guertin of Lunenburg. These five talented women tell the humorous and touching story through ballet, tap, puppetry and song.

Directing the production is Meredith Marcinkewicz with James Haupt as music director and Laurie Marcinkewicz as choreographer. Reserved seating is cabaret style for $15 each and available at Shirley’s Hazen Library or through
