LEOMINSTER — A Townsend man believed to be drunk allegedly touched a nurse inappropriately Monday while a patient at UMass Memorial HealthAlliance-Clinton Hospital in Leominster, according to court documents.

Dante Cormier, 40, of 17 Emery Road, was charged with indecent assault and battery on a person over the age of 14, according to court documents.

The alleged victim told police that Cormier made inappropriate comments to her and another nurse before he allegedly touched her.

He was brought to the hospital by an ambulance for evaluation because of his level of intoxication, court records say.

At his Wednesday arraignment, a judge set Cormier’s bail at $1,000 cash or $10,000 surety. He was also ordered to stay away from the hospital.

His next court appearance is scheduled for March 1.
