AYER – The newest president of the Nashoba Valley Medical Center will have one of the smoothest transitions ever. Korry Dow was recently appointed to the role on a permanent basis. In August, Dow replaced Dr. Sal Perla, who left to become president of Norwood Hospital.
Her work as interim head of the 200 Groton Road hospital impressed Steward’s regional vicepresident, Trip Pilgrim.
“As a long-standing executive with the Steward Health Care System and Nashoba Valley Medical Center, she is a perfect candidate for this position.” Dow has been part of the NVMC community for more than a decade.
Her career is defined by several stops as financial manager for medical facilities throughout Massachusetts over the past two decades and education that includes an Master’s in business administration from Fitchburg State University. Her career began at Blue Cross & Blue Shield as an auditor and then evolved into analyst and accountant at medical facilities in the area.
NVMC and Norwood Hospital are sister facilities under the same national parent corporation, Steward Medical Group, which operates about a hundred medical care installations around the country, including clinics, nursing homes and full-service trauma centers.
