Maugel Architects of Harvard has appointed four new principals to the firm that is celebrating its 25th anniversary.

* Dan Barton has been with Maugel from the firm’s beginning and served as director of design; will now spearhead the firm’s strategic planning services;

* Jonathan Cocker, an 18-year veteran of the firm, Jonathan will continue to successfully manage the firm’s fast-growing health-care practice;

* Mike Kunz, who joined the firm in 1998, will lead the firm’s industrial and commercial businesses;

* Mark Pelletier joined Maugel in 2014 with over 20 years of design experience in the lab and science sectors; he will manage the firm’s expanding life sciences practice.

Brent Maugel will continue his role as president.

Steward Medical Group Nashoba Valley Medical Center’s Neurology Department recently welcomed board-certified neurologist Dr. Rania Elenein to the medical staff. She specializes in electromyogram (EMG) testing, neuromuscular diseases, multiple sclerosis and Parkinson’s disease.

She completed a fellowship in neuromuscular medicine and electrodiagnostic medicine at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan and completed a residency in neurology at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark, New Jersey. She earned her medical degree from the University of Mansoura, Faculty of Medicine, in Egypt. She is triple-board-certified, holding certifications from the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine, the American Board of Neuromuscular Medicine, and the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She also holds a certification in multiple sclerosis treatment
