GROTON — Tunefoolery Music is a unique and courageous community of musicians in mental health recovery who have created a safe place where loving support, paid work, and learning are the foundation for healing and recovery. Their mission is to bring quality music, along with an inspiring message of recovery and hope, to their peers and to the world. Tunefoolery performed a wonderful concert at First Parish Church of Groton two years ago and are coming back by popular demand.
The concert will be held in the vestry of First Parish Church (junction of Routes 119 and 40) on Saturday, Dec. 1, at 7 p.m. Admission is free and refreshments will be served.
Tunefoolery’s talented musicians build identities beyond diagnosis and symptoms and focus on their skills as creative performers, while also sharing the gift of music with their audiences. To learn more about Tunefoolery go to www.tunefoolery.org.
The event is sponsored by the Mental Health Working Group of First Parish Church and is co-sponsored by the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Greater Lowell affiliate, the NAMI Central Middlesex affiliate, and Teenage Depression and Anxiety Solutions (TADS).
