AYER — St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church has a full schedule of events.
On Saturday, Oct. 20, the parish hosts its annual Apple Pie Day.
Eighty pies are made from scratch to fulfill pre-orders. Westward Orchards in Harvard generously donates baskets upon baskets of apples to be peeled, chopped and loaded into pie shells.
Each pie is $12. To order a pie, please call the church at 978-772-2615.
St. Andrew’s Annual Holiday Fair is on Saturday, Nov. 17.
Local artisans and crafters with their wares will be on hand along with bakers and cooks. The famous parish beef stew and apple pie will be available for lunch.
On Dec. 15 and 16, St. Andrew’s welcomes Carolyn Smith’s enormous nativity display in a manger.
The parish hall and sanctuary will be filled with over 500 different nativities from around the world. Fresh cookies, cider, and hot chocolate will be on hand for all comers. The entire event is free and open to the public.
St. Andrew’s is located at 7 Faulkner St. and is an open and affirming church.The Sunday worship service is at 9:30 a.m. Sunday school for children ages 3 to 12 begins at 9:15 a.m. Free child care for infants and toddlers is available beginning at 9:15 a.m.
