SHIRLEY — Are you feeling the Christmas spirit? Are you ready for some Christmas carols and, perhaps, a little bit of dancing?
Singers are needed for Shirley’s Community Christmas Concert on Sunday, Dec. 17.
Adults, plus students from grades 6-12 are invited to join the choir and audition for solos and small group numbers.
There will also be an opportunity to take part in a special dance number for those who are interested.
Musical selections will include both religious and secular songs; both modern and traditional. Participants will be asked to contribute $15 towards the cost of the music, with scholarship money available.
Rehearsals and performance are at the Ayer Shirley Middle School on Hospital Road in Shirley.
Rehearsals are 7 to 8:30 pm on Tuesdays, starting Nov. 7.
The Performance is at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 17, with an admission of $10 plus either some coffee, tea, or cocoa, with everything benefiting our local food pantry,Loaves and Fishes.
If you are interested in taking part, please contact director, Meredith Marcinkewicz, at mail@shirleyarts.org so she knows how much music to have available.
