AYER — On Wednesday, Nov. 29 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Ayer Shirley Regional High School auditorium, Ayer Shirley Education Foundation will host Dr. Hilary Levey Friedman, author of “Playing to Win: Raising Children in a Competitive Culture.”
Dr. Friedman’s book and her talk will provide insights based on the study of kids active in sports, chess and ballet. The Cha Book Review said “I was delighted to see that Friedman tells both sides of the story — the good and not-so-good about organized sports… Every parent who puts their child in organized sports should read this.”
Her credentials include degrees from Harvard University, Princeton University, University of Cambridge and her current position as a professor at Brown University.
This is Ayer Shirley Education Foundation’s gift to the community. Admission is complimentary with free babysitting for kids 4 and older.
