Haunting tales at Ayer Library

AYER — Have you been haunted? Barry Deitz wants to hear about it.

Deitz will discuss “Haunted New England” at the Ayer Public Library on Oct. 25 at 6:30 p.m. He brings tales from the region’s spooky writers, from Edgar Allan Poe and Nathaniel Hawthorne to Shirley Jackson and Stephen King. He will look at classic ghost stories as well as some legendary haunted places like the Hoosac Tunnel in Western Mass.

Do you have your own local haunted stories? Bring them along to share at the end of the evening.

The program is sponsored by the Friends of the Ayer Library. For more information, call 978-772-8250 or go to www.ayerlibrary.org.
