Pepperell Senior Center promotes Rocks of Kindness Project

PUBLISHED: | UPDATED:

The cancer support group at the Pepperell Senior Center is promoting the worldwide Rocks of Kindness Project. Today there is increased fear and distrust in the world. This project promotes kindness in our everyday life.

Expressing and writing a kind thought on a rock for others to see leads to happy inspirational feelings. The members of the Pepperell Senior Center cancer support group created an area located under a tree in the parking lot for all to see, enjoy, and ponder. The number of rocks continue to grow.

The Rocks of Kindness Project was the brain child of Cape Cod resident Megan Murphy, who is a women’s empowerment coach concentrating on inspiring strong women.

Rocks can now be found on four continents.

The project has two goals. One is to inspire others through randomly placed rocks along the way. The other goal is to recruit every person who stumbles upon it to join in the pursuit of inspiring others through random acts of kindness.

The Kindness Rocks Project spreads inspiration and a moment of kindness for unsuspecting recipients through random inspirational rocks dropped along the way.

The project also encourages others to find cool creative ways to reach out and brighten someone’s day unexpectedly whether it be through kindness rocks, love notes, random acts of generosity … the skies the limit.

If you would like to participate in the project at the Pepperell Senior Center, contact the center for more information at 433-0326. For more information about the project: thekindnessrocksproject.com.

Remember one message at just the right moment can change someone’s entire day … outlook … life.
