SHIRLEY — Craft Vendors are needed for the Shirley Hoe Down on Saturday June 3, but the bands are all set.

The annual Hoe Down takes place on Shirley Center Common from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the first Saturday in June. It is a day of food booths to benefit local organizations, games for the kids, information booths for the adults, and entertainment for all ages.

This year’s event will kick off with the Ayer Shirley Middle School Chorus. The first band will be Ashbrook and Haynes, then Stephanie Beach will dazzle with her audience-participation magic show. The Crazy Hat Parade has prizes for the most creative hats. The closing band will be Back to the Garden. The Hoe Down Committee is still working on a couple more possible entertainers to add to the line-up. Contact Meredith Marcinkewicz at mail@shirleyarts.org if you are interested in taking part.
