The Shirley Republican Town Committee met at the Hazen Library on February 4 under the leadership of Chairman Brian Hildebrant. Recent local elections and the Trump victory were discussed.
Vice Chairman of the Republican State Committee, Jeanne Kangas of Boxborough spoke about her observations and experiences at the recent Inaugural celebrations in Washington D.C. for our newly elected 45th President, Donald J. Trump, and presented Chairman Hildebrant with a memento from the Republican National Convention that nominated Trump. Republican State Committeeman Brian Burke of Stow also addressed the meeting.
Comment turned to increasing membership and activity of Shirley Republicans and supporters, and the importance of providing them a place to meet and speak their mind freely.
The next meeting of the Republican Town Committee will occur in the Spring, at a time and place to be announced. All interested Republicans are encouraged to contact Chairman Brian Hildebrant at firstname.lastname@example.org.
