PEPPERELL – Police in Pepperell are asking the public to help identify a man who allegedly robbed a bank on Groton Street Wednesday morning.
Just before 11:30 a.m., a man entered the Lowell Five Bank located at 65 Groton St. and handed a note to the teller demanding money, according to a police press release. He left with “an undetermined amount of cash” and got into a gray sedan parked in a lot across the street.
Based on surveillance footage and witness statements, police described the suspect as a black male between 35 and 40 years old who stands approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall and has a stocky build. He was last seen wearing a gray Aeropostale zip-up hooded sweatshirt, a collared shirt underneath, a black knit hat and black sneakers with light soles.
