GROTON — ArtsNashoba is fresh into the New Year and already beginning its 2017 Spring Musical Production, “Anne of Green Gables.”
Directed by Bonnie Marchesani with music direction by Diane Guenard, “Anne of Green Gables” is the classic tale of an orphan girl, Anne, who rises from destitution to happiness in the farm country entirely by virtue of her pluck and personality. Anne’s adventures at Green Gables, the farm owned by her new caretakers, are both comical and heartwarming.The original novel is the first in a prized series by writer L.M. Montgomery.
This production is open to young actors ages 8 to 18, with auditions being held January 13 (4-6 p.m.) and 14 (10 a.m.-noon) at the Union Congregational Church, 218 Main Street in Groton.
Rehearsals will runTuesday, Friday (4-6 p.m.) and Saturday (10 a.m.-noon) at the same location, with performances March 30 (Autism/Special Needs 6pm performance); March 31, 7 p.m.; April 1, 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the Richardson-Mees Performing Arts Center at Lawrence Academy, Groton.
Tuition for this program is $295/child ($275/sibling); Nashoba Valley Chamber of Commerce Members: 10% discount. Tuition Assistance is available based on need.
