Groton Home Tour
GROTON — Ever wanted to take a peek inside some of Groton’s loveliest homes? Your chance is coming up!
Groton Community School will host its 12th Annual Community Home Tour on Saturday, Nov. 19, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Doors at the school will open at 9 a.m. In case of inclement weather, the home tour will be held on Nov. 20.
The Groton Community Home Tour is a self-guided, adults-only tour of distinctive and historic private homes in and around Groton. The 2016 Home Tour will showcase a variety of architectural styles, including a unique spin on the classical farmhouse with unparalleled views and a meticulously executed, custom, newly built home.
Home tour attendees will also be able to go back in time, as the Groton Historical Society will open the doors to the recently restored Boutwell House for the first time exclusively for attendees of the 2016 home tour.
The tour begins at Groton Community School with complimentary coffee and doughnuts from Dunkin Donuts and The Catalano Companies. Various local artisans and merchants will be at GCS and in the homes providing a unique opportunity for holiday gift shopping.
While at the school, enter to win chance items and baskets generously donated by local businesses, artists, friends, and Groton Community School families. The chance items will be on display and tickets will be on sale at the school the week prior to the home tour. Winners need not be present at the time of the drawing to win.
