SKOWHEGAN, MAINE — The Pepperell Patriots 11U’s first trip to the Major/60 Cal Ripken New England Regional tournament was brief, but memorable.

Pepperell finished its weekend in Skowhegan, Maine at 1-3 with its lone victory coming Saturday in a mercy-rule shortened (fourth inning) 13-0 rout of Stratham, New Hampshire behind a strong pitching performance by Michael Archambault.

Pepperell’s final tilt of the tournament came on Tuesday, where it fell to local Chelmsford, 10-8.

The Patriots were led offensively throughout the weekend with multiple base-hits by: Colby Gouldrup (3 home runs, double), Rocco Lamonica (2 home runs, double), Max Riordan (home run), Archambault (double) and Brian Morse (double).
