SHIRLEY — Shirley Arts! will audition students from grades 2-12 for parts in their summer production of Disney’s “Peter Pan Jr.” on Wednesday, June 22, from 3:30-5 p.m. and from 6:30-8 p.m.

This is the story of the magical trip to Neverland taken by Wendy, Michael, and John Darling. Besides the children and Peter Pan, there are the lost boys, pirates, fairies, Indians, mermaids, a dog and a crocodile.

At auditions, everyone will be taught a simple song and dance and will be asked to read from the script. Everyone who auditions and is willing to work get a part.

Rehearsals will be from 1 to 4 p.m. on June 23 and weekdays from 1 to 4 p.m. during the first three weeks of July. Performances will be on July 22, 23, and 24. Everything will be at the Ayer Shirley Middle School on Hospital Road in Shirley.

The director is Meredith Marcinkewicz; choreographer is Laurie Marcinkewicz. Stage manager is Celia Haigh.

Tuition is $125. If needed and accepted for the student tech crew, the fee is $50. Scholarship money is available as needed.
