I have known Pat Kelly for over 10 years, and I cannot think of a better person to continue to represent school committee. Pat has held this position for eight years, during the time that Ayer regionalized with Shirley. In that time, he has served as chair three times, and took on the enormous task of transforming to the new high school, which was passed, been built, and increased the number of students to over 400, which is the highest it has been in 20 years.

Personally, I can attest that whenever I have had a question about the school system, he has been quick to answer, and follow up if needed. I have also witnessed him lead meetings about the new high school, and it was very clear, he was in his element.

I first met Pat when our children shared a preschool classroom. Our paths continued to cross in the school system, church and community. Currently, Pat is my daughter’s confirmation teacher and one of the coaches of NVUB, a baseball and basketball league for children with special needs that my son plays in.

Pat commits his time and energy to the community in such a tremendous way. He is a wonderful father, and very involved and supportive of the youth in this community.

In our home, he is affectionately referred to as “Coach Pat.”

Ayer is a lucky town to have a person with such experience, integrity and passion want to run again for school committee. Beyond a doubt, he is the most qualified candidate, and it would be a great injustice to not re-elect him to continue the work he has started.
