SHIRLEY — The Hazen Memorial Library in Shirley has three new museum passes now available to the community. The first is to the Tower Hill Botanical Garden. This pass allows two people to be admitted at 50 percent off the regular price. You may reserve it in advance, then pick it up the day before your visit. Then return the pass to the library, so it will be ready for the next person to enjoy.

Also new to the library this month are passes to Acton’s Discovery Museums, purchased with our LSTA “Science is Everywhere” grant funds. This pass allows three people admission to both the Children’s and the Science Discovery Museums at 50 percent off the regular price. This pass can also be reserved ahead of time, picked up at the library, and returned the next day.

We also have discounts for the Connecticut Science Center, which gives up to 4 people 20 percent off the regular price. This is a coupon that does not need to be returned to the library – just pick it up and enjoy on your next visit to Hartford. Reserve passes by calling the front desk at: 978-425-2620, ext 1.

Other passes are: Butterfly Place (one free admission), Museum of Fine Arts (two people, $10 each), Mystic Aquarium (four people, $5 off), USS Constitution Museum (nine people, free), MA State Parks Pass (Free parking at most MA State Parks).

Thanks to the Friends of the Hazen Memorial Library for their generosity and making these passes available to the community. The Acton Discovery Museum pass was made possible by a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act as administered by the state of Massachusetts.
