TOWNSEND — The library has a jam-packed weekend in store this March filled with free events.
On March 19 and 20, Mobile-Mini Golf is bringing a really fun, unique indoor miniature golf course to the Townsend Public Library and Senior Center complex. You can stop in and play on Saturday, Sunday or both days.
Golf will be available Saturday, March 19, from 4-9 p.m. and on March 20, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event is sponsored by the Townsend Public Library Endowment.
The No Evil Project will be at the library on Sunday.
It is a fun, social photography project entailing people posing as the three wise monkeys: “See No Evil,” “Hear No Evil’ and “Speak No Evil.”
This project shows that we cannot be defined by labels. It redefines stereotypes to show people as individuals and the good each contributes to the world.
Want to join in? Here is what you do.
Come to the event and have your photo taken.
Choose three labels you think represent you. Next, show us how you are not defined by these stereotypes people judge you by.
Share something good that you’ve done or the positive ways you contribute to society.
No Evil Project will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, March 20.
The weekend is sponsored by the library, the Senior Center and the Endowment fund.
