TOWNSEND — The Board of Health has a special deal for people who plan to clean the roadsides for Earth Day. Gather the litter and then dispose of it at the Recycling Center on Greenville Road for free.
Pink bags will be available for $1 for the weekend of April 22 only. G.W. Shaw will donate a dumpster at the Recycling Center for the weekend.
The best part? Your dollar will be refunded when you bring the bag that weekend.
If items are too large to fit in the bags, they will not be allowed.
