DIANNE’S DAILY GREEN MACHINE SMOOTHIE

1/4 cup frozen pineapple

4 baby carrots

1/4 inch slice of ginger root

1/2 cucumber (peeled and seeded)

1 inch piece of banana

1 teaspoon flaxseed meal

1 teaspoon of chia seeds

Handful of baby spinach

Spring water or coconut water

Juice of 1/2 lemon

Add to blender in this order: pineapple, carrots, ginger, cucumber, banana, flaxseed meal, chia seeds, baby spinach and spring water. Blend until smooth. Stir in juice of 1/2 lemon.

SPINACH, CUCUMBER, CELERY & APPLE JUICE

2 cups spinach leaves

1/2 cucumber

1 cored green apple

1 celery stalk

1/4 inch slice of ginger root

1 tablespoon chia seeds (for protein)

Juice of 1/2 lemon

Wash apple and cucumber well, then cut them to fit through the chute of your juicer. Juice first 5 ingredients. Stir in chia seeds, lemon juice, drink immediately to get the maximum nutritional benefits.
