FITCHBURG — Fitchburg State University held its 119th commencement exercises winter ceremony on Dec. 18.
Fitchburg State University President Richard S. Lapidus presided over the first commencement of his tenure leading the institution. The evening included the presentation of the President’s Medal to outgoing Fitchburg Mayor Lisa A. Wong, in recognition of her contributions to the city and region.
In all, the university conferred more than 250 undergraduate and 110 graduate degrees after the fall semester.
