WESTFORD — The Elegant Chef, the award-winning, in-school restaurant at Nashoba Valley Technical High School, will reopen to the public for lunch on Tuesday, Sept. 15.
A new chef-instructor, Jeremy Bussiere, will join the team that provides the best lunch value in town, including veteran chef-instructors Francis Zentgraf and Carley Engle. Bussiere will teach the Hotel & Restaurant Management curriculum, while Zentgraf and Engle teach Culinary Arts.
“It’s with a great deal of enthusiasm that I look forward to working at one of the finest technical schools in the state,” said Bussiere, a native of Royalston. “Nashoba Tech’s Culinary Arts and Hospitality programs are among the best around.”
Zentgraf said the Elegant Chef will offer a free dessert with any meal during the month of September.
“We want to showcase our baking and pastry area, which Chef-Instructor Engle and the students do an excellent job with,” he said.
The Elegant Chef has won the Best Entrée category –which is akin to winning Best Movie at the Academy Awards — five times in the last eight years at the Nashoba Valley Chamber of Commerce’s Taste of Nashoba Valley competition, held every March
The Elegant Chef will be open to the public for lunch Tuesday through Friday, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., while school is in session.
