GDRSD opens its doors Sept. 2 for the new school year

Groton-Dunstable Regional School District will open its doors for the 2015-2016 school year on Wednesday, Sept. 2, for students in grades 1-12.

Kindergarten parents will receive a letter from their child’s school regarding the bus introduction program scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 2. If you have any questions regarding this event, please contact your child’s school office.

The first official day of school for incoming Kindergarten students is Thursday, Sept. 3.

PLEASE REVIEW YOUR CHILD’S BUS ROUTE AS SOME TIMES/ROUTES HAVE BEEN CHANGED.

As a reminder, bus pick-up times may vary during the first couple of weeks of school as students and parents adjust to the new schedules. As a general rule, please have your child at the bus stop five (5) minutes prior to the estimated time of pick-up. Students who reside on Route 119 and Route 40 will be picked up and dropped off doorside, whenever possible.

The school hours for Groton-Dunstable schools are as follows:

Full-Day Hours/Half-Day Hours

Groton-Dunstable Regional High School: 7:27 a.m. to 1:50 p.m.; 7:27-10:50 a.m.

Groton-Dunstable Regional Middle School: 8:08 a.m. to 2:25 p.m.; 8:08-11:30 a.m.

Florence Roche Elementary School: 9:10 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.; 9:10-12:15 p.m.

Swallow/Union Elementary School: 9 a.m. to 3:05 p.m.; 9 a.m. to 12:05 p.m.

Florence Roche: Day Kindergarten: 9:10-11:55 a.m.; 12:30-3:15 p.m.

Swallow Union: Day Kindergarten: 9-11:45 a.m.; 12:20-3:05 p.m.
