Pepperell Cultural Council in urgent need of new members


PEPPERELL — The Pepperell Cultural Council is in urgent need of new members.

The Pepperell Cultural Council is part of the Local Cultural Council program. It’s a volunteer municipal board that annually grants state funds from the Massachusetts Cultural Council to projects at Lawrence Library, Nissitissit Middle School and many others.

The town of Pepperell is at risk of losing state funds and valuable cultural programs unless at least five new member volunteer to join the council this fall.

The council generally meets a few times a year and is most active between September and January. The primary responsibility of members is to review grant requests. No previous grant or artistic experience is required, just a love of your community and the arts, history, environment, education or culture.

Members do not have to resident in Pepperell.

If you can’t join, please share this information with your networks and help spread the word. Interested parties should respond as soon as possible.

This is a unique opportunity to serve the community ad shape the arts and cultural life of Pepperell. We do not want Pepperell to be the only community in the state not to benefit from these funds.
