From Monday, June 1 to Sunday, June 7, Shirley Police officers on all three shifts checked on buildings, town-wide, to ensure they were secure, conducted follow-up investigations and traffic stops, rendered services and responded to calls, as did the Fire Dept.
In addition, the Fire Dept. made service calls and conducted routine safety inspections.

Incident Summary: An intern from Ohio whose term with the company was ending reported her purse had been stolen at an earlier date. According to the police report, the woman told police that her purse – containing driver’s license, social security card and passport was taken from her workstation on May 19. She was informed that if she planned to fly home, she would need identification to board the plane but a copy of the police report might suffice. Apparently, she found another solution, however, or perhaps located her missing papers, since she did not pick up the report at the Shirley Police Station.
