After the June 8 Special Town Meeting in Shirley, I hope the selectmen and town administrator have finally gotten the message after a second defeat of the town administrator’s cost of living salary increase.
The townspeople will not let its longtime, dedicated town employees be bullied and intimated by a newcomer to our town. We do not live by the motto “It’s my way or the highway” as the selectmen and town administrator do.
Remember we do still live in the United States of America and it’s still ‘We the people…'”
So let’s work together in unity as we have in the past to make our town a better place to live, but not on the backs of the few municipal employees.
