BOSTON — More than 400 Massachusetts film-industry workers are at the Statehouse on Wednesday to urge legislators to preserve the film- and television-tax credit, according to the Massachusetts Production Coalition.

After a demonstration outside the building, workers are entering Gardner Auditorium for an 11 a.m. rally, followed by individual visits to members of the Legislature.

Workers and business owners say maintaining the film-tax credit is vital to keep their jobs in this industry, which they say helps drive the creative and high-tech economy in Massachusetts.
