Unique gowns on display May 9

One dozen antique gowns will be displayed May 9, starting at 2 p.m., and two dozen vintage gowns will be modeled, starting at 3 p.m., at the United Church of Shirley, 4 Lancaster Road.

Also on display will be a collection of wedding cake toppers and of bride dolls.

Light refreshments will be served.

Tickets to the fundraiser are on sale at the Shirley Historical Society Museum and Hazen Library for $12, if bought before May 9. If you wait until the day of the event, admission will cost $15.

We think this would be a special way to spend time with your family on Mother’s Day weekend.

For information, contact the Shirley Historical Society at 978-425-9328 or mail@shirleyhistory.org.
