The organization that we represent is Project Graduation. In a nutshell, we’re a group of volunteers who work together to provide our graduating seniors at North Middlesex Regional High School with an all-night, safe, sober, supervised and fun place to celebrate their high school graduation with their friends.

This year will be the 12th year anniversary of the program. Every year there is a scramble to organize and meet the goals that make this a successful event. However, we have seen a steady decline in volunteers over the past several years. There are many reasons why this is happening, but that’s not important.

Here is what is important:

Without having more people step up and volunteer, this program will suffer and could eventually cease to exist. Anyone who has volunteered for any organization can understand what we’re talking about.

So, what do we need from you? VOLUNTEERS! This is what makes Project Graduation operate. Most of the people currently on the board have graduating seniors this year or next and will not be returning to their position or will be helping out in another way.

We need people to fill those spots. We need people to help with fund raising. We need people to help decorate the school. We need people to chaperone the event. Most importantly, we need fresh blood! We’re looking for parents of freshmen, sophomore and junior students, as well as parents of incoming freshmen and anyone within the community who wishes to volunteer.

In addition, Project Graduation is free for our graduates and we’d like to keep it that way. However, it costs around $13,000 per year to put on this event. You can help by attending events and participating in fundraising to benefit Project Graduation and/or making a monetary donation of any amount. For more information, please contact us at

Statistics have shown that students celebrating on the evening of graduation can experience one of the most dangerous nights of their young lives. The goal of Project Graduation is to save lives by providing a safe graduation night celebration.

Please help us by attending our next meeting on May 6 at 7 p.m. in Room 1 at NMRHS or by contacting us at If you would like to volunteer, please visit our SignUpGenius page at Thank you!
