PEPPERELL — The 19th annual Pepperell Green-up has begun.

The Green-Up is a community clean-up of litter and trash on roadsides and public lands in Pepperell.

A map of Pepperell is posted in the Lawrence Library. Stop by to sign up and pick up some orange garbage bags. Public lands to pick up include roadsides, sidewalks, parking lots, schools, the Rail Trail, conservation lands, streams, hiking trails and other areas.

Filled bags can be left curbside. Because of the long winter and lingering snow, the Green-up is being held over two weeks this year. The Pepperell Highway Department will pick up the bags along the roadside beginning Monday, May 4. Thank you for participating and for taking pride in Pepperell !

Thank you to the following organizations, whose donations allowed purchase of bags for the Pepperell Green-up: Donelan’s, Nashoba Conservation Trust, North Middlesex Savings Bank and the Pepperell Garden Club.
