Woman’s club meets Jan. 16
On Friday, Jan. 16, the Groton Woman’s Club will be holding a meeting at the Union Congregational Church at 218 Main St., Groton. The luncheon will be starting at 11:30 a.m., followed by a meeting and timely program following the holidays, and the start of a new year.
Debi Nicholson, a GWC member, will be speaking on the topic, “Eating your way to good health.” Debi is an excellent example of weight loss success, and has many helpful ideas of how to eat to lose weight, and enjoy what you are eating at the same time.
Hostess chairmen for the luncheon are Lili Ott and Ellen Hargraves.

Groton Democrats Meet Jan. 25
The Groton Democratic Town Committee will hold its monthly meeting on Sunday, Jan. 25, at 4 p.m. at Legion Hall on 75 Hollis St. All democrats are welcome for lively discussion of the issues of the day and planning for 2015.
